Class 20 at Haverthwaite

An original painting depicting English Electric Type 1 'Class 20' 20214 running round its train at Haverthwaite station, with the iconic rock wall tunnel mouth directly behind. Haverthwaite is the southern terminus of the short but beautiful Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway that takes visitors to the shores of Lake Windermere. Usually, steam locomotives work the line, but this original artwork depicts a rare diesel day. 

The painting is unframed and is roughly 40cm x 50cm, so fairly large. It could be taken to a framers of your choice. 

I very much enjoyed this painting, as I used a pallete knife to carve the rock face, using textured layers to give me the final product. I am pleased with the result!
